The Right Light

Lighting in the Caribbean is often automatically associated with imposing villas and luxury hotels. However, away from the beach, showrooms, retail, warehousing and offices, all vital to an island's infrastructure also need professional lighting and attention to detail can make or break a project.

Showroom lighting is something that Zumtobel have down to an art. The spectacular Porsche Centre in Como is the work of Luca Guaresi and his team from Studio GMG. Carpets of light made from PANOS evolution downlights paired with ONICO spots, set the scene, drawing the eye to these seductive vehicles.

In the handover room, a chessboard effect illuminated ceiling, equipped with tunable white technology leaves the appropriate clean, precise impression, all focus on the vehicle, yet still exuding style. Discreet elegance with frameless design, the third generation LIGHT FIELDS (available in recess, surface mount or pendant) offers the possibility of individually adjusting illuminance and colour temperature to the respective vehicle model.

Immaculate goldfish offices with a similar approach, leave the customer in no doubt that they are somewhere special. This is a great project to truly examine the importance of correct lighting to create a lasting impression.
